Well, I felt better than that after eating at Fat Kee.

I found out about this place through a friend of mine and when arriving, it is situated near places where I normally wouldn’t go; it’s near a used car dealership, a truck stop and the Alberta NDP caucus.

Back on topic, they apparently make their own noodles (yay!) and have been reviewed by the Calgary Herald years back with rave reviews and I can see why; the food is absolutely delicious!

Cheap and fresh noodles, hot off the pot, is absolutely divine but they also have typical Chinese food such as fried rice, black bean chicken and can make Chinese dishes if requested such as guy lan. Their battered stuff should be avoided though because there’s more batter than shrimp so you don’t get your money’s worth.

The service is a bit on the wild side because there’s a fluent English server and a broken-English server so it’s a hit-and-miss trying to get the right order. Thankfully, it’s numbered so just say the number and it’s alright but if you feel adventurous, try the syntax route.

Also, it takes  a while to get water refilled but other than that, the food comes out fast and delicious which is what’s important.
