Remember The Flinstones?
I do.
And if you do, you’ll likely appreciate that smack dab in the middle of the Junction (read: near 2982 Dundas West), and my old stomping grounds, all of Wilma, Fred, Bam Bam, Dino, and the rest of the gang are waiting for you at a little burger joint called Bronto Burger.
Their namesakes were immortalized in the shape of beef patties, milkshakes and a number of delicious and equally filling classic burger joint fare.
Bronto Burger is a tiny place, with a sit-in counter space and minimal seating; kind of nostalgic of a 50s fountain pop shop where the kids go after school for a malt.
Go here if you’re hungry. One of our writers ordered the 7 oz Bronto Burger and had a hard time finishing it. The very good part: the burgers are all home made, and there are organic options as well as tiny kiddie burgers all the way up to the 14 oz mammoth burger. Good luck with that one.
Best of all, the service is friendly and sincere at Bronto Burger. They work hard, and it shows. From what we could tell, there’s a ginormous kitchen and grill behind the cash/service counter. A friendly young lady greets you and takes your order and yells it back to the cook in the back.
After a few minutes of anticipation, your fries are ready, while the home made burgers are still cooking. The wait may seem long, especially if you’re starved, but its well worth it. The delivery definitely pays off!
Bronto Burger is a no frills place, for cheap eats in a great local community restaurant that caters to everyone.
ps – thank to Emily for her input on this one – a great service-related find

I am a food fanatic and I’m always searching the internet for food ideas. I love my hamburgers the most of course . Can anybody suggest some variations of burgers?
