Carnivores take note: Copacabana is the mecca of meat.
This steakhouse is located just a walk from Yonge and Eglington and though you might not be overly impressed by the decor, the melt-in-your-mouth, never ending selection of grilled chicken, pork, beef and various fruits will keep you coming back for more.
This culinary delight doesn’t come cheap. But the $35 meal includes unlimited trips to the salad bar (though you probably won’t have much room after you scarf down every morsel of mouthwatering meat they bring you) and a rotating roster of delicious grilled foods that are brought to your table by knife wielding servers. From cheese stuffed steak and lamb chops to chicken parmiagiana and grilled pineapple, each selection is cut in right before you eyes are served to you at your table - talk about service!
Speaking of service, copcabana is sort of a mixed bag. You have one waiter taking drink orders and doing a general check up (which ours did quite well) and then you have your meat bringers, some of which, to be candid, can be a little rough around the edges.
My date was pretty full at one point but was practically peer pressured into have one more pork chop (come on man, everyone is doing it).
If you’re looking for a quiet, romantic date, the constant barage of men offering you meat-on-a-stick might turn you off. But if you’ve got an empty stomach and a stocked wallet, this is a good place to stretch that food dollar.
One more thing - your meal will be accompanied by a Brazilian band that plays authentic songs from their motherland like The Beatles’ ‘Michelle’.
If you’re not into south american cover bands, you might want to avoid this place altogether.

Thanks for posting this article. I’m definitely frustrated with struggling to search out relevant and brilliant commentary on this subject. Everybody now goes to the very far extremes to either drive home their viewpoint that either: everyone else in the planet is wrong, or two that everyone but them does not really understand the situation. Many thanks for your succinct, applicable insight.
