Everyone loves a fresh pair of kicks. And if Queen West has a love affair with one wardrobe staple, it’s shoes. And if one store will satisfy the needs of sneaker fetishists city wide, it’s Get Outside.

This hot spot, located on the corner of Queen Street West and Spadina, recently expanded into the store next door and now sells twice as many shoes and a selection of clothes.

And just what kind of shoes do they sell there? Well, I’m glad you asked.
- They feature an entire wall dedicated to Converse and Birkenstocks respectively.
- They also sell Clarks, Vans, Addias, Frye, Blundstone, Tretorn, Puma, Ben Sherman, Mocs, Fred Perry and many, many more.
- They sell a lot of hard-to-find brands and they offer a huge selection of styles and colours

This place is always packed and I can guarantee you it’s not just because of the location. There are a lot of shoe stores in the city but this one by far has the best selection and, even better, it has great sales staff. I’ve noticed even when the place is bursting at the seams with shoe lovers, there’s always a ton of sales people to help out.

I bought a sweet pair of Ben Sherman sneakers for my brother’s birthday a few months back and Alsitair, the friendly sales associate, gave me a sweet discount because they were the last pair (and the floor model).

Get Outside truly is the shoe store full of soul
