In the middle of Kensington market, on Augusta is the Hungary Thai.

It’s owned by two lovely women, one who cooks and one who waits tables. They have a small TV, a small patio and basement bathrooms that are single stall and also…pretty small.

The basic concept here is Thai food and Hungarian, which only sounds gross but tastes delicious.

Where else can you get beets as an appetizer and coconut curry as a main?

I don’t usually frequent much in the summer, because it’s their soul food cooking that I’m after and small cozy spots with hot food are key in the winter time, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t check it out.

Service wise, it’s very much like going over to your mother’s house for some home cooking.

And that suits me just fine.
