Navigating College Street, and the innumerous eateries that line it, can be difficult. But stop freaking out already. Kalendar is here. Shhhhh…

Seriously though, this is a great date spot. The inside is uber romantic; little candle-lit nooks are sprinkled all over the restaurant. The patio outside is great and a perfect place to people watch around college. The food has never disappointed; delicious stuffed crepe-style rotis, scrumptious salads, and a huge wine list.

The service here is great. Funny story: I was here with a couple of friends for dinner one night and the waiter accidentally got red wine all over my friends when he was opening the bottle. He apologized profusely and comped her dinner and drinks (no dry cleaning, unfortunately). But still I thought his words and actions displayed a huge level of professionalism.

But the waiters are super knowledgeable. I’ve received great wine recommendations and if you ask, they’ll surely go into their fav picks on the menu – something I usually find hard for wait staff to do at times.

Next time you stroll into little Italy and feel completely overwhelmed, just step into Kalendar. They’ll do the rest.
